2. This one is kind of funny. SO I recently got a runningskirts pink running skirt with the built in underwear. I love the skirt, the material the pockets and the color. I do not love the built in underwear. I ordered the size based on what they suggested based on my measurements but I think maybe I should have gone up one size. As I was running the underwear kept creeping up my behind. I felt like my bum was hanging out in the breeze and the skirt was flapping up over it with every step. Thank goodness no one was driving by. I only ran a quarter of a mile and turned around and went home all the while hold the skirt firmly down over my posterior. I then changed into my Nike Run skirt with shorts underneath and continued on my run. The running skirt...not sure might see if my lil sis wants it, I think her hiney is smaller than mine. I am thinking about trying again in a larger size. ANYONE HAVE ANY INSIGHT ON THIS? This is the pink skirt I love that loves to hug my bootie just a little too much.
The skirt I switched too. I look tired in these pictures because I was! Also my new bondiband that I got in the mail. I won it in a giveaway on Foot Forward Strides!
3. Today was the start of the Sugar Free challenge and I was doing awesome, until a coworker brought me a peanut butter rice crispy treat with chocolate on top as a thankyou for taking care of her mother in law. She was so excited to give it to me and she know how much I love them that I
On a brighter note I am still doing the 100 pushup challenge and am doing it very well.
Did anyone else not run on National Running Day?
I didn't run today either - trying to give my knee one more day of rest :(
ReplyDeleteI've been hesitant to order one of those skirts for just the situation you described - it is very cute though...maybe a size up would work better(?)
I tried to run too but my lovely 2 year-old decided to skip the nap which resulted in a complete nutty .5 miles into the run! Seriously I wanted to have a nutty too!!! Don't worry about the slip...I started today too...no one is perfect. Start again tomorrow!!!
ReplyDeleteWith the skirt have you thought of wearing your own shorts under? I sometimes wear compression shorts under my skirts if the lining has a tendency to ride. Works like a charm!
I didn't run either--instead I spent the day working on getting the pool ready, which really meant getting ridiculously sunburned! I just recently bought a running skirt, and while it seems like it'll be okay, it has me feeling like I'm on Jersey Shore dressed like a hoochie. Not used to the bun-huggers......
ReplyDeleteSometimes you have to eat a treat given as a gift. It's an unwritten rule, especially when they are excited to give it to you.
ReplyDeleteI've wondered about those running skirts. Not sure I would like the built-in panties, though. I think my thighs would rub too much. I may try one someday. Both skirts look adorable on you, btw.
Oh great! Now I have to go for a run... even though it is almost dark and 9pm.
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not the only one who didn't run today! I was in need of a rest day, so it was a day off!
ReplyDelete:)
I did not run yesterday either!
ReplyDeleteI don't own an single running skirt but I am thinking of getting one.
That treat sounded so yummy!
You should probably give the skirt to your lil' sis, that would be a nice surprise! ;)
ReplyDeleteI thought you would think so, hopefully your butt stays in the underwear better then mine did, not pretty!
ReplyDeleteTotally did not run. Ate fatty pizza and drank cold beers. Triple fail for me too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. I have to admit, no matter what size/configuration I get the Running Skirts skirts do not fit my body. I sold mine on eBay because I couldn't bring myself to wear them outdoors.
ReplyDeleteHA! That would have been very hard to turn down.
ReplyDeleteI have the same pink skirt, but no bummage showage issues...od
I didn't run on national running day! I was busy on vacation and it just didn't fit in.
ReplyDeleteNo worries on having the treat, I would have done the same!
My running skirt did the exact opposite... it kept falling down. Ha Ha - Sugar free challenge - I almost messed up sooo many times! It's harder than I thought it would be. :)
ReplyDeleteOhhh, how I can relate to the rice crispy treat story! AND....I did not run on NRD. I didn't know it existed until mid-day. It was not a run day for me. The way I see it, every day I get out there and bust my ass running is National Run Day for me! lol
ReplyDeleteOh I love both of those skirts. I just bought my first running skirt (from target) and am loving it. Also I am pretty sure no one has a hiney tinier than yours because your bod is rocking.
ReplyDeleteYou need to share the secret to those arms of yours. Pretty please.
Have a great day!
I have the same skirt and have the same problem. I like there skirts but I usually order the Gym Girl? versions which are a bit longer and have built in shorts and not the little undie things.....
ReplyDeleteMaybe contact Running Skirts? They seem to have really good customer service. I think they are supposed to be a bit snug though....and it looks like it fits.
ReplyDeleteI didn't run on National Running Day!
ReplyDeletei forced a 3 miler, although i totally didnt want to!
ReplyDeletei LOVE runningskirts.com skirts. but have found that there is some variation on the coverage of the briefs. some of them ride up a little, some do not. the trick (and this sounds a little gross) is to deal with it for a little while until you get sweaty then the moisture will hold it in place. you may want to contact them though, like a previous poster said, they have great customer service and may send you out a different skirt. i dont think getting a bigger size will help, the whole skirt might fall down then. its probably just cut too slim.
I'll admit that I chuckled a little bit about the skirt issue! Too funny, I've never tried the running skirts, I'm old school and stick to the shorts! And you sound like me with the sugar deal, I cannot resist!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment today! Yea, it is really tough the first 2 weeks to a month not running, then you sort of get used to it because you fall into a different routine of working out. Sounds like you made the right call of not running on national running day since your legs felt like they could use a break "listening to your body" =)
ReplyDeleteAnd I would say that's not a bad thing that you can't travel for races, then you won't run into the problem that I have of traveling somewhere and not being able to run the race!
You look great in both skirts! Sorry that one gives you a wedgie. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd, I almost drooled just thinking about a chocolate covered peanut butter rice kripie treat. Hello, lovah!
