Saturday night we took the kids in for some more fair food and the rodeo. I could say they sat this good thru the whole thing, but they did through about half of it.
The other half I spent either entertaining them with self portraits.
or they took turns riding each other down the aisle. Luckily on one was sitting too close to us, since this entertained the kids for quite awhile.
We also stopped in and saw the traveling half size version of the Wall the Heals. It is the smaller version of the Vietnam Memorial. I found it so moving and by the end I was having a hard time not crying. All those young people. So sad then I would think about their moms hearing the news....too sad. It was really neat to see though and hopefully someday I will make it to D.C. to see the real one.
Sunday my husband decided to work so I was out a babysitter for a long run, not that I probably couldn't have found one I just didn't want to start calling people at 6 am so I could get out and run before it got too hot, I elected to spend two hours on the elliptical (I really need to get a treadmill) and call it good. I decided this wouldn't be a bad alternative, plus I caught up on some Desperate Housewife episodes I had missed earlier this spring. Three of them! A little sad it will be ending, but what more can they do!
I think my legs appreciated the low impact after the pounding they took going down the hill Saturday for the race. That said I can't wait to get out and run tomorrow :)
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
If you could sum up your weekend in one word what would it be?

I haven't ever run on an elliptical. Do you have to set it up for your own stride, height, etc.? There is one where we house sit in the winter and perhaps I will give it a try out.
