Aspaeris Compression Shorts Review and Giveaway

Let me start off by saying yesterday I said I had twelve more days until my next half marathon when in fact it was only 10.  Not sure what my system was for counting there but I am going to blame it on the monster migraine I started to develop shortly after writing the post.  I do not get migraines often, but I know when I am getting them because my vision starts to black out.  The best thing I can do is pop some Tylenol and lay down and sleep.  I called in sick to work.  There was no way I could drive with my vision blacking out, it just didn't feel safe somehow.  I slept most of the morning and felt hungover the rest of the day, but a full blown migraine was diverted.

Aspaeris was super awesome and sent me some compression Pivot  shorts to try out.  I was very excited to try these out and they are the first compression shorts that I own.  YAY!  I was boring and I went with black.  Now I am sort of wishing I would have been more daring and gone with the red or navy blue to help inject more color into my running wardrobe.    White was not an option as I would have had it dirty about 3.2 seconds after putting it on.  Let me start out by saying I love them!

This is what they looked like when I pulled them out of the packaging. I am not sure why but I didn't expect them to feel so thick.  They are so thick because they have a double layer.  "The top layer supports your muscles while the bottom layer guides you into position."

I have worn them on two runs a three mile and a seven mile interval workout.  I found them very comfy and they felt great.  I also slept in them for recovery and loved it.   Th shorts are also made using   Microban® technology to help keep them odor free.  I guess that is why I could run in them twice and them sleep in them without them getting stinky!  I do have them in the wash now though so rest assured! :)

I love that the waist band is not so tight that all my extra skin hangs over the top and it doesn't give me a tummy ache. 

 



I like that Aspaeris is specifically geared toward female athletes and helping prevent ACL injuries that women are so prone to.  While I do not do a lot of sports like soccer or basketball I do run on trails sometimes and dodge around to miss big rocks in the rock, puddles, and like earlier this week strange looking lizards.  


They took a bit of tugging to get into and I was worried they would be too tight on my quads and be uncomfortable, much to my relief they are not uncomfortable, in fact they felt really good while running.  I did feel like I was tugging on them for awhile trying to get them situated just right, but maybe since it was my first experience with compression shorts I just wasn't sure how they were supposed to feel.  I can tell you that if you put them on backwards they still feel good, but I still took them off and put them right.  Yay for empty roads or someone would have caught me in just my underwear on the road, but hey at least I was wearing them!
