I am the Mistress of my Domain, and a Sparkly Soul Review and Giveaway!

So maybe you noticed or not, but I now own my own domain!  Instead of dirtroadrunner.blogspot.com, I am christyruns.com  although the old address will still direct you to the new.  I had a hard time with the name change but ultimatly went with christyruns because it is my twitter and disqus user name, it is shorter than either dirtroadrunner.com or mydirtroadanthem.com.  Still not sure if I am 100% sure that it is the name I should have gone with, but I guess if I hate it I can always change it again!  Although I noticed when I clicked on the link from my facebook page it still took me to dirtroadrunner.blogspot.com.  So maybe it takes a few days?

Feedback?  Input?  Advice on switching to your own domain?  It was pretty easy, just hope I am not missing anything or going to be losing any readers!  I love you all!


I am not normally a sparkles and glitter type of girl.  I don't do my nails, I for the most part could care less about my hair (I get it trimmed 2 or 3 times a year), I don't wear heels, my makeup is minimal you get the idea.  But for some reason I fell in love with running skirts and running in color this year.  I got a blue sparkly head band and it became my favorite to race in.  I find that I want color color color in my running and racing attire. I don't want to be black and white.  I want bright eye catching colors.  Fun, I am a girl type clothes.  Stand out from the crowd accessories.  So when I saw the Sparkly Soul website I got excited!  They were super awesome and sent me a wide and narrow band to try out.  I got the wide in the emerald green and narrow in blue.  I hadn't had them for even a day before I was trying to decide what colors to get next.

These are not just pretty headbands though, these bands STAY in place.  I have worn them multiple times now out running and at work under my scrub hat.  It is comfortable and is not headache inducing.  In short these are my new favorite headbands.

Something to go with every outfit! I am pretty sure I need the black, gold, and red next.


It didn't seem to matter narrow or wide both of the bands I was given stay where you put them.  The first couple of times I wore them out running I kept reaching up to make sure it was still there.  It was and still right where I had left it. No slipping, NONE!







These bands are only stretchy where the black elastic is.

 Sparkly Soul bands are stretchy ALL THE WAY AROUND!  That's right you get 360 degrees of head hugging love.  I was really worried that would cause me to have headaches after awhile, but it didn't! It hugs your head gently. Also the sparkles are just that sparkles that stay on the head band.  They aren't little glitters that end up all over you.

 Here is where I put the headband and that is where it will be until I move it.  I love it!
