I went for a run yesterday, an easy four miles. I had some pain in my right shin that lasted about a mile or so. I felt slow and sluggish the whole run and it left me feeling a little bummed. A 9:30 pace felt hard to maintain and I took walk breaks. Today I ran 6.27 miles with an average pace of 8:21 and it felt GREAT! YAY, so I am smiling. The pain in my right shin was minimal and was gone after half a mile. I ran my first mile in 8:50 and ran each of the following miles faster. I skipped the race today and am a little bummed about it, but okay with it too. I wore the Go Girl Sports running skirt today and it was great to run in. YAY. Check out my giveaway HERE, if you haven't already.
Hopefully the shin is on the mend!
Now here comes some yummy things!
I picked these apples earlier this week and will be turning them into apple butter and canning some for apple crisp and apple pies. YUM
I have a box of peaches I am working on turning these peaches into some jam. I will probably make some peach cobbler for tonight. YUM
Yesterday I made a batch of crabapple jelly. It never set though so what I have is syrup. I may dump it back in to the pot and try again. I love crab apple jelly. YUM
The kids and I carved pumpkins Friday. My daughter took this picture. I must have really been concentrating.
The finished scary faces!
Sweaty Bands also sent me a couple of headbands to try out. I love the designs they sent so pretty. Although the top band I already had from Razzy Roo (I am wearing mine in the pumpkin carving picture above I promise I have not worn the one I am going to give away :) so I am going to give that one away to one of you lucky people because I am so happy for all the votes you have been sending me at Team Refuel.
The Sweaty Band stays in great. I wore it to work one day and have also ran in it. I had no problems with it falling out or making my head hurt. I am very happy with them!
I love the soft velvet on the underside of the Sweaty Band that helps it stay in place
If you want to win the Sweaty Band all you have to do is be a follower and vote for me at Team Refuel HERE. Leave me a message telling me you did. Tell me your favorite headband brand. I love the Sweaty Bands although I really don't see any difference between them and Razzy Roos. So I guess I love them both! I will pick a winner one week from today on October 9th.
Sweaty Bands sent me these bands free of charge but the opinions expressed are my own.
