I have learned this year that I am capable of much more than I thought I was, so I have decided to expect more out of myself. I can run faster than I think I can. I can run farther than I think I can, the only person limiting me is myself .
I am working on my goals for next year and trying to figure out time goals for distances realistic one and super secret ones.
and because I couldn't resist not sharing this with you.
Happy Friday! Anyone have any racing plans?
I too am working on my goals. I know that I am in my own way! I'm hoping for 2012 I can move over!
ReplyDeleteI had the same experience this year. I mean, who knew I could run a freaking marathon!?
ReplyDeleteLove the last pictures. They make me want to go home and hang out with my pup!
Awww! Kitty and a horse. So cute!
ReplyDeleteGood luck setting your goals for next year. You had an amazing year in 2011, can't wait to see what's next!
I was loving your post and then got to the kitty/horse snuggling pics, and my heart melted!
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes with your 2012 goal setting. You are going to have another awesome year!
You are totally inspiring! Can't wait to see what the year holds for you running-wise. I'm running half marathon #3 on Sunday...
ReplyDeleteSo great that you are already working on your goals for 2012! You are such an amazing runner and I cannot wait to see whats in store for you.
ReplyDeletethose last pics are too sweet :) i am excited to see what goals you have in mind. I would like to start considering mine as well. I definitely hope to push myself in 2012!
ReplyDeleteI am a little late on making my November goals but I will get to it this weekend. I have secret time goals too haha! Those pictures are too cute! Maybe I will have to include getting a kitty ...or dog...and one of my goals :)
ReplyDeleteLove the quotes. I too am just realizing that I am capable of so much more than I gave myself credit for. 2012 will be my year! I am going to push! Thanks for the morning inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to having my first marathon under my belt so I can set some new goals for 2012! And yes, lots of them will be super secret time goals too!
ReplyDelete:)
I love planning for future races! That ad is great - "you have to expect things of yourself before you can do them". Totally true!
ReplyDeleteThose pics are too cute!
So true, especially with running, that the only person we have to fight to get better is ourself. Such a mental sport. New follower.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your goals! I've also been thinking about my 2012 running goals :)
ReplyDeleteI've got one definite goal and am thinking about another one. Like you, I'm keeping super-secret at the moment. I want to feel a bit happier and more confident in my running before I tell anyone what I'm up to :)
ReplyDeleteI, too, had the same type of realization this year. I haven't started thinking about 2012 goals yet ... but I've started thinking about 2012 races :)
ReplyDeleteI think you can totally do what you and your body feel is right but I think you already rock!
ReplyDeleteEven though I've still got 2 races left this year, I've started thinking a little about next year too. Good luck with your planning!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture of the horse and the kitty is the sweetest! Good luck setting your goals, I've been thinking a lot about goal setting while I run lately too. November must have brought that on for all of us.
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear more about your upcoming running goals. I'm hesitant about full-forming mine until I know a little bit more about how this next year might unfold in terms of work and location.
I will be running my first 10K next Sunday. I do not have a goal but just want to see what I can make of it! Love all of your pics. They inspire me :)
ReplyDeleteLove that first quote!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear your goals. My goal is always the same (title of my blog...)
ReplyDeleteNot racing until next weekend's 10K. Tomorrow is a long run. I'm looking forward to it!
Very inspirational quotes. I love the second one.
ReplyDeleteThe horse and cat are adorable!
I can't believe 2012 is almost here...this year really flew. I'm sure you'll have some great races in the coming year. :)
love that first one! I'll have to keep that in mind...I have a problem with confidence and believing I CAN and WILL achieve things, but as I've grown older, I've realized I am capable of SO much more! Thank you for this post...it'll help me kick butt over the weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThat secong quote hit home with me.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on setting you goals for next year.
ahhh that second one gets me... I find that I have small goals, but get scared away from the big one's sometiems because I don't want to fail
ReplyDeleteLove the quotes and those pics are so sweet!
ReplyDeleteMy final 2011 race plans are a Thanksgiving 5k and Jingle Bell Run 5k if all goes well.
ReplyDeleteI have my distance goals for 2012. Now to think about time.
I love this first photo- its so true too. I have found recently that too often what we do first is just run, see what happens, and then use that to determine what we're capable of- we forget to push ourselves to truly see what we're capable of and instead just settle with what we know.
ReplyDeleterace plans for 2012--- can't seem to finalize everything- its a HUGE item on my to do list.
I love the Michael Jordan quote! I need to get on the ball and work on my 2012 race calendar some more.
