The weather has been beautiful the past couple of days. A little cold but sunny, no wind and pretty great really for running. I would say perfect but perfect for me is more like 50 degrees and getting to run in my running skirts!
I am loving these new Saucony tight I bought earlier this year and the blue pullover I got at Costco. Yesterday I was trying out a Gelbot, so be watching for a review and giveaway on that. :)
My legs have felt a little tired the last two days on runs so I am thinking maybe I should cut back a little on mileage this week and let them recover a little. I only work one day this week so I will be tempted to run more than normal.
So far I like the Gelbot and it fits into my handheld water bottle carrier so that makes it even handier! I forgot to mention the mp3 armband I got from Team Refuel also. I love it. It is more waterproof than the one I was using. Now I need to get some new earphones as both of mine are not working very good anymore. One pair only works in the left ear and the other only works in the right..if I could just combine them somehow!
I am paticipating in the HBBC over at Run To the Finish so points for yesterday were
Run 9 miles = 9 points
20 minute BodyRock workout = 1 point
for a total of 1 points.
And the winner of the FitDeck giveaway is...
Who turns out to be..
Sarah send me your info via email and I will get that to Phil. Also pick out the FitDeck you want HERE and let me know. Thanks and CONGRATS! :) Sarah does not have a blog, I think she should though, hint hint Sarah :)
have a great Tuesday everyone!
What kind of earbuds do you wear when running? Do you recommend them?
I used to wear seinnheiser behind the head/over the ear ones because they couldn't fall out. But when I went to the Denver rock n roll expo knowing that race day was going to be freezing and I'd want a beanie (beanie + over the ear earphones = no good) I was in search for a pair of earbuds that don't fall out. I ended up purchasing Yurbuds. I got the ironman version ($50?) but they have a cheaper pair for about half the price and they don't fall out! I used to hate earbuds because none of them would ever stay in. But I love my Yurbuds! I've seen them at the apple store or at target. But I'd recommend emailing them so you can get fitted. You just have to send them a picture of your ear.
ReplyDeleteawesome pic! congrats to the winner! Hubby and I both use yurbuds...we actually found them cheaper at Marshalls!
ReplyDeleteYour winter runs look lovely! I miss living in cooler climates :)
ReplyDeleteI have a pair of Zipears that I won from a giveaway, but usually use the headphones that came with my iPhone. I want to run at your house! Gorgeous scenery.
ReplyDeleteI love my yurbuds!! they don't move!
ReplyDeleteWay to get out there and run, even in the snow. I miss those snow covered mornings. They always seemed so quite, I loved it. Not a fan of the freezing cold though.
ReplyDeleteI always buy the cheap earbuds but I don't wear them that often.
Congrats to Sarah!
ReplyDeleteI love the costco pullover too :)
Hope you are getting excited for your race!
Congrats to Sarah and I want to try that gelbot so bad. It just sounds cool ad hip; two things I'm not so hence my love of it. lol
ReplyDeleteI love all your snow runs. I got myself some thermal winter tights. do you think they'll hold up for the winter. I always want someone to write a post on winter running. *cough cough* Christy ;)
this will be my first winter running and so I have no idea what obstacles or things I need to know.
I get jealous when I see pictures from your runs. It's so beautiful! I want someplace pretty to run :).
ReplyDeleteAwesome pics, Christy!!! :) I NEED earbuds..All I have is the ones that came w/ my phone and nanno. Since I've started running more on my own, I've been listening to music when i run.
ReplyDeleteCute pic.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Sarah.
No earbuds for me! Sorry, can't help there.
Love the outfit and poses :) Great job on the points :)
ReplyDeleteI wear the Bowers and Wilkins ones I reviewed not too long ago. They are magical! Love the Gel-bot! So handy :)
ReplyDeleteI have just regular ipod headphones, never had any problems with them, which is surprising because I have tiny ears.
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute in your running clothes, I want to go to Costo to find a top like that.
And I always run more during weeks when I work less too!!! Have to force myself to hold back too haha.
congrats to Sarah! i am loving your winter running gear!!! i have 1 pair of saucony capris and they are my absolute fave...i may now need to look into the tights :)
ReplyDeleteUgh, I hate my earbuds! I have just regular iPod ones and they kill my super tiny ear canals! Any suggestions would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteBRR!! I had one pair of yurbuds that worked great, then from my second pair on they were a total fail... they keep slipping out, and I have been refitted more than once. Boo :(
ReplyDeleteI am NOT ready for snow on the ground.
I run a lot more now that I am not working full time. This week is throwing me for a loop because A is off at school...
Love the poses - and the scenery!
ReplyDeleteI use the earbuds from my ipod - but I could use an upgrade. Let me know if you get any great suggestions:)
You look so cute all decked out in your winter gear!! And for earbuds I always go cheap because I go through them so fast and find that the more expensive kind always fall out of my ears.
