I won this medal hanger MONTHS ago from The Althletarian. I finally got it hung up and my medals on it. All 6. I think I need more. Lots more!
Makes me happy to look at them. Makes me want to run :)
It is motivating to see them on display and not just piled in a drawer with all my race bibs. I need to do something with all those too.
I am excited about getting it all filled up and putting some more medals on it this year.
I have it hanging in a corner in my bedroom. When I am on the elliptical this is what I stare at. I plan to put up a cork board or something and make this my corner of inspiration.
Needs a little something more doesn't it? I think the corkboard with pictures, quotes, some race bibs. Anything else you can think of that you add to yours?
Do you have a wall or corner of inspiration? What room of the house is it in?
Oh I love that!!! Mine is just a tie rack!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. I've been thinking about putting my medals up in my cubicle at work. I already have my trophy there! :)
ReplyDeleteI've taken over a small corkboard in my basement with medals and bibs and such. Much like my stories about running, it looks more impressive than it really is.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Once I actually invest in a treadmill, I have big plans for an inspiration wall next to it in my basement.
ReplyDeleteThe cork board sounds nice. Put your goals in writing and put them up there too. :)
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Yes put up a cork board and then I like to put my race bibs, stickers I get from expos, if I see a race I want to run in a magazine I put it up, inpirational quotes. I found some cool stuff in the sticker scrapbook section of Michaels and put that up too
ReplyDeleteThat is really cool. Love it.
ReplyDeleteMy husband put a big piece of ply wood, painted white, out in the garage. Then we tack all my race numbers to it. There is also two big hooks(that would hold my bike if I didn't store them next to my bed) that I hang my medals on. If we ever move we can just take down the board and move the whole thing without removing the numbers.
looks great Chirsty. I need a wall of motivation/inspiration. I think I'll start working on it once our house is fixed
ReplyDeleteYes! I love my medal rack!! I have my oldest daughter's age group awards hung adjacent to mine. We look very, very athletic :D
ReplyDeleteI definitely need one of those! So awesome! I have so many bibs too and need to figure out what to do with them. If you think of something let us know:) Good jo getting your rack up. Very motivating!
ReplyDeleteCute! Your medals are very colorful...love it! You will definitely be adding to your collection this year. Have you picked a marathon yet? Because you need to girl! :D
ReplyDeleteI love that! I think a corkboard is a great idea! I also saw Jill (jillconyers.com) did a wall with photos and framed bib numbers which was really nice!
ReplyDeleteI think you're right, a cork board with pics is in order! I need one of those medal hangers pretty badly! I'm just to something to get one on my own.
ReplyDeleteI like that Montana medal! Maybe it's the green but it's really eye catching!
I love it! And I have no doubt you'll fill it up :) I really want one of those!!! You could hang all of your bibs up on the wall like wall paper. I have always had mine hanging up and I love looking at them!
ReplyDeleteI love that rack! I really need to get one soon :)
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Yes, get some of your awesome photos up there too!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I love my hanger that I have. So far I have one sticker next to it, but I also have a white board and I plan to add some motivation quotes and photos if I ever print them out. :)
ReplyDeleteI want to make a better "inspiration" wall. I currently stare at nothing but a towel!
ReplyDeleteLove it... yep, I have one. In my gym and keeps me going!
ReplyDeleteI just saw your comment on Redonkulous Runner and I totally feel the non supportive husband issue! I am in the same boat : ( He is super annoyed by my marathon training. I am going on three years and he is just now starting to come around a little.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I just got mine hung a week or so ago and I love seeing all the medals together...makes my accomplishments seem that much more exciting to me!
ReplyDeletesuper cool hanger - I had to go look those up online. I'm sure you'll have the thing filled up soon! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I have a allied medal hangar too, I got the "runner" one.
ReplyDeleteLove it! A cork board with quotes, pictures, etc would be perfect! I have my bibs in a bibfolio so I don't misplace any of them.
ReplyDeleteSo very jealous of your medal holder. I want one so bad, but like you, want more medals for it! Love the idea of having your own little corner. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteI really need to get me one of those! Right now I just have my medals pinned to a corkboard in my office lol
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!
this is the first time i've seen a heart shaped medal- so unique. I personally just have my medal hangers and thats it, but I know a lot of people do have quotes and such around theirs
ReplyDeleteSo jealous!! I want one of these so much!!
ReplyDeleteI would like to work on an inspirational board too. And I need to hang my medal hanger up. I made one out of wood. :)
ReplyDeleteit looks great!!
ReplyDeleteit looks great and now I want one! I showed it to my husband...you know hint hint!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that's so fun!!! where do I get one of those?? Mine are all sitting in a drawer! lol
ReplyDeleteMan, your medals are so colorful! I've got seven medals on mine, and all but one of the straps are black.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to put something else around mine, too, but I don't know what. I thought about putting race photos around them, but a) the thought of putting photos of myself on the wall sounds completely narcissistic and b) I'm too cheap to buy race photos.
Looks really good! I've got to hang mine up.
ReplyDeletemedals are looking good! I have all my bibs and metals on this cute little thing in our family room.
ReplyDeleteI have the same medal hanger! I love it!! yours looks great!
ReplyDeleteGreat medal hanger! I just got one too and it makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to that one medal? Did Cola chew on it? :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! I want to make an inspiration board for my junk room/office. Just need to find the time! :)
