If I could do this picture over, I would be giving a thumbs up. |
I'm not sure why it looks like I have swass, must be from my hydration belt that I just took off. |
Where should I put this this thing? |
I'll just hook it here! |
okay I may or may not be fake running here. |
I hate ironing obviously and the rectangle on my chest is my ipod in my Handful bra pocket. |
Simple Hydration Water Bottle – 13 oz.
Our innovative hook-shaped bottle allows runners or active individuals to simply hydrate on the go. The bottle slides into a waistband, race belt or pocket easily.
- Contoured shape for a great fit
- Rests comfortably in the hand when drinking
- LDPE
- BPA-Free
- 53 mm cap for easy filling and cleaning
- Top rack dishwasher safe
- Made in the USA
The bottle also to my surprise can stand up by itself on the counter. I was thinking it wouldn't and thought that a drawback. I was wrong.
I love that the inventor of these, Brian Hock, writes on his website about how they were tested on his kids running around the living room in them. You can read about that HERE. Doing the mystery post was his idea and I love it!

Brian sent me this note this morning
Thanks for reading Martha's review and participating in the giveaway. While only one person is winner on her blog. I would like to extend this contest and conversation over on the Simple Hydration Facebook page and offer you a discount for your very own Simple Hydration Bottle to try. It's a great way to purchase the bottle without paying full price. Plus, you may just win one. Every fifth person to do these 2 things will win one. 1) "Like" our page (http://www.facebook.com/SimpleHydration) and 2) Leave a comment on why you want one on our wall and be sure to say "Joan sent me." See how "simple" it can be to have your own bottle. Thanks everyone! You're the best.
Giveaway ends at midnight on May 8th. Winner will be notified via blog post and will have 72 hours to claim their prize. I was given this free of charge to review. The opinions expressed are my own and I do recommend one. The value of this bottle is 19.99.
It's a good idea but not sure how I'd feel about it...would love to try it though!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree here - it's a must try. I feel like it may need an infomercial ;) lol
DeleteThat is the strangest water bottle ever. I feel like it still might drive me insane (or pull down my shorts!), but it's worth a shot!
ReplyDeleteLooks cool- I currently use a $1 water bottle that has a handle which makes it easy to wrap my hand around. I would love to try Simple Hydration's bottle- I wonder if it would stay in my skirt pocket?
ReplyDeleteI just edited my post but, if you go like their FB page, you have a 1 in 5 chance on winning one there if you tell them "Joan sent you"
DeleteNot sure if it would fit in a skirt pocket or not.. depends on the pocket I guess!
Doesn't the water get butt sweat on it and get all hot? Maybe my butt sweats more than others?
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised it your butt seats more than others but I do promise you the butt sweat stays on the bottle and does not get in the water. It does tend to warm up faster than with other bottles though which is why I recommend putting ice in it.
DeleteI just edited my post but, if you go like their FB page, you have a 1 in 5 chance on winning one there if you tell them "Joan sent you"
Weird! Does it hurt your back? I have a "bony" tailbone and think it would hurt me. Does it really stay in place?
ReplyDeleteI also have a bony tailbone and it didn't hurt me after an 8 mile run with it in.

I've never heard of it. I'm still skeptical that it would not rub. I'll have to try and find one.

What a neat idea. Not sure if it would be my best bet, but I would love to win one to give it a go!
ReplyDeleteI was right! Hurray!
ReplyDeleteI think this looks very neat and would love to try it. And I think that the size is just right, too.
Thanks for the extra entries, Christy, and the heads up on SH's own giveaway too. Wonderful.
I am willing to try anything. I don't have a hydration belt yet, so this might do the trick!! Also, do you have the discount code to purchase this??
ReplyDeleteI did share your post on my FB page and I also tweeted.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Wednesday, Christy!
Very cool! I'd love to give it a whirl : )
ReplyDeleteThis is Brian, the founder of Simple hydration. I will send the discount code to anyone doing the 2 items I mentioned above. By doing that I can keep track of who wants to be in the running for a free bottle(s) on our Facebook page. If you just want to buy the bottle at a discount and not do the FB stuff then send me an email brian[at]simplehydration.com and say "Joan sent me" in the comment line. Thanks everyone. You rock!
ReplyDeletewow! this is super interesting. i was honestly totally stumped by your post the other day ;) it all makes sense now :)
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm using the same hydration belt that you're wearing in the picture. I really love it but sometimes carry a handheld as well to have more water. I think if the Simply Hydration bottle works as well as you say, it would be very beneficial.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a rad product idea! I would LOVE to test it out. Also, my son thinks he needs a hydration bottle (age 7) and no fuel belts would fit him , so this would be fun to try with him as well. I will check them out!!
ReplyDeleteI have to say, in addition to some other comments...that butt sweat (my own anyway) would not bother me. ha!
ReplyDeleteTweeted, shared, liked and followed :) I've been super curious about these for those runs where the thought of strapping on my belt has made me want to skip the run :)
ReplyDeleteI like it! I don't run with water because I don't like to have anything in my hands, and I haven't tried a hydration belt yet. This would be fun to try:)
ReplyDeleteAhh!!! I have that water bottle (and am "friends" with Brian on Daily Mile!) I LOVE the bottle! Enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteWhat an ingenious bottle. I definitely could use that when I run my marathon :) I love the shape :)
ReplyDeleteI shared your giveaway on facebook.
ReplyDeleteLooks neat, I'd love to try it!
ReplyDeleteThe hooker looks like a great idea! I hope I win it!
ReplyDeleteDig your skirt to btw.
i shared the giveaway on FB
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see how lightweight the bottle is and how well it stays put.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! I totally shared on FB and "liked" them. I love this idea! Love, love love!
ReplyDeleteJury is still out for me on this one, but I'm intrigued!
ReplyDeleteI hate having to lug around my handheld bottle, so this would be great to stay hydrated on long runs!
ReplyDeleteI love that this just "hooks" on to whatever belt you're used to running with. I'm training for my first full marathon (marine corp!) and will need all the hydration possible while training in DCs awfully humid summers! The small bottles on my current hydration belt are never enough!
ReplyDeleteI'm following simple hydration on twitter!
ReplyDeleteI tweeted! @oowidescrnoo
ReplyDeleteI hate having to carry things in my hands so this is an awesome alternative.
