I used to stalk the website daily for new workouts. I hardly ever go there anymore. Not that the workouts still aren't really good, because they are. I wish they would stick with the basics. They have several different girls leading the workouts, some of which can hardly even do the moves right. Not motivating to me. I don't want to be buying lots of equipment all the time. I miss the old Bodyrock. I still go back and do old workouts all the time.
I do like Zuzanna's new ZWOW workouts quite a bit. I love them because the only equipment she uses is some freeweights. I don't like that she does circuit format more than HIIT format, but I usually change it to a HIIT format anyway. I just seem to like it better that way.
Her website is not up yet, but is supposed to be soon. I personally would rather go to a website than youtube, but that is just me.
I recently also discovered Kyla Gagnon's new site Bodyripped which is pretty much copycatted off of Bodyrock.tv. In fact she was a guest host on it a couple of months ago before she started Bodyripped. I am not going to hold it against her though because I am loving her site. No crazy in your face sex selling. No look at my boobs and butt shots. You can watch these workouts in front of your co workers and not feel like you should be hiding it.
I also discovered a great site called litealloy.com. The website has taken every ZWOW and Zuzanna Bodyrock workout and made them easy to sort through. The workout moves are listed and how long it takes for each workout as well as if it is a bodyweight workout or if you need equipment. You can also pick the random Bodyrock.tv workout and it will give you a random workout to do. If you are a big Zuzanna fan I recommend this site!
In the end what really matters is results, but I would rather see this when I go looking for a workout
than be assaulted with this when I go looking for a workout.
I think it has toned down a bit on Bodyrock, but for me the damage is done and it is no longer the first place I go to when looking for a great workout.
What is your go to workout website, if you have one?
What is your take on Bodyrock, Bodyripped and or ZWOW, ever tried any of them?
I have a friend that does bodyrock and her quote to me was "you just have to ignore the boobs".
ReplyDeleteBut, it's a huge turnoff to me, too. I'd much rather just have a good and simple workout. I'm going to check out bodyripped. That sounds good.
I really wanted to try bodyrock based on your reviews, actually, but when I went to the site... ugh. It's gross, honestly, IMO. They don't look good - they look... scuzzy. And it's certainly not a workout I'd feel comfortable having up on a screen with my 13 and 11 year olds around. It's a shame, because from what I saw the workouts were GOOD.
ReplyDeleteI would rather see reality myself, and not tv reality but other real people doing real workouts!
ReplyDeletewow, those pics are kinda icky. It looks like a soft porn workout for men. gag. If I were to watch a video to workout, I would just rather it be real people doing the exercises correctly. That would turn me off too.
ReplyDeleteYea, its like workout porn at bodyrock....from the stuff you posted!
ReplyDeleteOk yikes! There's no way I could get through a workout video with shots like those. I have yet to find a good workout site that I really like.
ReplyDeleteI could not agree more with you regarding Bodyrock. I really like the work outs but could definately do w/out the images. Ugh. Thanks for sharing the other sites I am going to check those out.
ReplyDeleteGood LORD those are porny!
ReplyDeleteew.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, my husband might decide to start working out with me...
Our cable provider has "On Demand" channels. The exercise one rotates every few weeks, but generally I can find a good workout. Other than those, I rely on my old, faithful dvds.
BLAh! Is that bottom left pic a legit photo from Bodyrock?! That is absurd! I've never tried any of that because I totally suck with at home workouts, but that would deter me even more!
ReplyDeleteWowzers, your description didn't make it sound good, but those pics make it look ridiculous! I think "sexifying" it like that makes it look cheesy and less serious. I don't use any of those sites though, so I can't really comment from experience!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I don't like the fake big boobs. I'm sure the husband would love it - but not me and not when I'm trying to work out. Jeez!
ReplyDeleteyikes I don't like those pics. Not what I wanna see when working out. I don't use any of those sites so I don't know a ton about them besides what I read on blogs.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I wasn't trying to look at that Bodyrock stuff at a job, that would probably raise some serious eyebrows. Holy fake boobs!
ReplyDeleteOh my those Bodyrock ones are something else!! Thanks for all the info on these sites...I'll have to spend some time checking them out!!
ReplyDeleteI think we've discussed bodyrock before - I seriously feel like their views must be more from people wanting to masturbate than to workout - however, their fans are crazy and will yell at you if you say that :) in other news, I am completely not against plastic surgery or whatnot but like you, I HATE the tits and ass shots! I'm trying to workout here. On the other side of things I LOVE ZUZANNA - I don't mind her big boobs :) I know some people don't like it but I like that she works out with you! I also like how hardcore I feel doing her workouts :)
ReplyDeleteI am TOTALLY checking out this new site. Thanks for sharing!
ok I am back...I just went and crept the site - LOVE IT! she looks like one normal girl :) Thanks so much! I'm glad to have some new workouts
