1. My little sister and I are working on some St Patrick's Day costumes for the Run to the Pub half marathon next month. My little sister was crafty and made us a green sparkly skirt. We have some other stuff but this is as much of a sneak peek as I am giving up right now. For the life of me this picture would not upload rotated the way I wanted it. Upload picture fail in a major way. Very annoying, but you still get the idea.

She did warn me I still need to trim off the extra threads. |
2. Another fail I had was trying to take a picture with my Cola dog on my run this morning. At least I am in it.
He did have the nerve to look apologetic about it in this picture.
3. I did have a pretty good run today..finally after Monday's failed attempt at 1200 intervals. So I did 4 one mile intervals today that with hills and wind still averaged 7:40ish. I was happy with that and felt good doing it...except for the emergency bathroom break due to bad guts. (sorry TMI, but it is a runner problem and this is a runner blog!) At least I carry some emergency TP in my pocket.
also did you enter my
StrideBox giveaway? I will be picking a winner tomorrow!
wow i wish i was crafy so i could save all sorts of money on skirts and headbands. So bummed i had to pull out of this race, but I am doing a 1/2 in atlanta for st. pattys day with some fellow bloggers.
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see how you do!
I am still so jealous that you can go for runs like that with Cola off leash! Bungee would be in heaven. I guess I should be happy that we at least got to run outside today!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear you had a redeeming run! Those always feel great. Your St. Patty's Day outfit looks like it's coming along nicely. GI problems during runs are the worst. I hope your stomach feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteLove your skirt and the leg warmers are great. This makes me want to make a skirt for something lol.
ReplyDeleteDid you follow my DIY sparkle skirt pattern? I think that your skirt turned out great!

ReplyDeleteI'm getting my Run the Pub green outfit figured out too. I bought some striped socks, like the one's in your picture, that I'm goin to turn into arm warmers and I got the new NEON green Pro Compression socks. Gotta figure out the shorts and shirt now. Your skirt looks pretty stinkin' cute! Awesome that it's homemade!
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt! I always run my races in a sparkle skirt, but I buy them. I really should make my own... save some money!
