I found the pictures from the 2 mile run I did with my daughter on Mother's Day.
Sadly this woman finished right in front of Avery and ruined her race pictures. Boo. Next time I will have to watch for that a little more carefully. I will say these are the least painful looking finish line race pictures I have seen of myself in ..ever. Of course we walked most of the second mile
. and I don't really consider what I did here a race, but whatever.Since I am not running right now, still, again, it might as well be rainy out and it is. I think the world is crying for me. I am thinking of renting a backhoe and digging out the area that is a big puddle here and making myself a swimming pool for a little cross training.
Of course then it would stop raining and all I would have is a muddy hole.
I haven't been running, but I have been stretching. Check out my amazing flexibility.
seriously..my fingers are past my toes and I can get my leg to almost 90 degrees while laying on my back. Totally worth not running.
Thanks to everyone who commented on my I hate life without running post yesterday, you are all awesome. It helps to read other people's I was injured and I came back stories. I know this isn't a forever thing, it just feels like it. and Kasey.. you are so on!
I know it's hard, and grey days don't make it any easier. Then again, if it was green and glorious then you'd just be itching harder to get outside. You'll get there, keep stretching!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are being productive even without running! :P
ReplyDeleteIt's rough! You'll get there! :) I'm dealing with a knee issue so my running has taken a backseat too... I'm focusing on stretching/foam rolling and sticking! It feels like it's working but I'm unsure as I haven't been running ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat stretching pics:) Did you post them on the UA site?
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your stretchiness. I am sooo not stretchy. I was working on that today too and didn't run or spin. My legs needed a break. Still trying to get that wheel pose.... I probably need to work on it more than once every other week. You former gymnasts make me so jealous!
ReplyDeleteHurray for flexibility. When you get older like me you will really appreciate it more!
ReplyDeleteStretching is GOOD though! For healing and for flexibility. As for making a pond, dig that sucker out! I'm a tough country girl! I'm coming over with floaties and margaritas!

Bring it! :D
ReplyDeleteI love the pics of you and your daughter running! You can see her face and that is a brigh smile. That is having a good momma as a role model. :). Ugh...I moved to Kansas in April and it has been stormy and rainy or cold. It finally it's starting to be warm but this rain is depressing!
ReplyDeleteI love the smile on Avery's face. She looked like she was having so much fun!
ReplyDeleteLook at you, Ms. Bendy! :)
ReplyDeleteThat woman really is stealing the picture from your daughter. Bummer!

Like everyone else, I have like a gazillion race photos, but my fav's are the ones with my kids and Michael. Great pics with your little sweetie!
ReplyDeleteLooks like I'm off from running again, too, so I should probably take up yoga full time. SO FUN. If you dig that pool, I'll come visit lol.
ReplyDeleteAw...sorry for you! I have been there and it's SO frustrating. You will be back, trust me.
ReplyDeleteEven with her mostly blocked she still looks adorable! It sucks not being able to run but I hope you were able to have fun with your daughter anyway!
