I just thought these rocks were pretty neat and liked they way they created a great lookout spot.
Can you see the road I was on?
I did take a few moments just to savor the views too. Feels so good to have a relaxed long run and not be in a hurry to get back. My kids were with my sister for the morning so I had hours to spare. Such a rare treat!
I also took some time to update my Dailymile mileage. I haven't been very good about doing it. I do like seeing my stats on it though. Just seems like there are so many things to keep up with on social media anymore, gets a little much for me.
How was your weekend?
My weekend was full of chores, but I felt so accomplished afterwards, it was awesome. Now we have weeded flower beds, a clean garage, and new towel racks in the bathrooms. Jackpot!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such an amazing place to run! seems like a great place to gain some instrospection as you run. I laughed when I read about Dailymiles because I know I have an account but I can't remember when was the last time I updated it! I'm going to have to do that soon.
ReplyDeleteThat looks wonderful!!! MIne was great, got some running and usual family time
ReplyDeleteGlad you had an enjoyable long run! The path you took was beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI just love your views! Sounds like such a great run!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful views! I bet it's nice to just be able to take your time and enjoy a long run for a change!
ReplyDeleteSoon soon soon I will have gorgeous "I run in nature" pictures too!!
ReplyDeleteMy weekend was pretty laid back. The only thing on my agenda was to run long on Saturday so I slept in way later than normal. It was a nice treat! Sunday I went downtown and watched the elites finish Bloomsday and then I was a lazy bum the rest of the day. Not going to complain.
ReplyDeleteI just officially decided to delete my DM account a couple of days ago. :(
I love the runs where you just take your time and enjoy things! That is some awesome scenery. My weekend was completely jam packed and crazy, in the best way.
ReplyDeleteSadly, running was the crummiest part of an otherwise pretty amazing weekend in Vancouver. It just wasn't my race. I love those views, and I bet you can really appreciate the time to yourself!
ReplyDeleteYou have an amazing running landscape on your doorstep.
ReplyDeleteStopping at the top to appreciate the view is your reward for effort. (That's what I tell myself anyway, as I stop to catch my breath!)
My weekend was full of yard stuff. But, that's ok, because I like yard stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteThe rocks make a perfect frame for the valley down below.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how when you are a mom a few unrushed hours are more precious than gold.
Have I already mentioned how much I love seeing photos of where you live and run??!? I need a trip to someplace quiet and beautiful like that soon. Im sure the time to yourself was very nice.
