p.s. Yesterday I did a 10 mile long run and even though the heat kicked my butt and I chaffed my armpits my quad feels great. I think I may have turned a major corner in my comeback. WOOT!
Great to hear you have had a few successful runs in a row!!
ReplyDeleteWoot for the comeback!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a lefty too! Rock on!
ReplyDeleteYay on your leg! My dad is a lefty and he tell me these horror stories from when he was a kid-- his teacher made him stay in on recess to teach him to write with his right hand so that he could be "like the other kids." How wrong is that?!
ReplyDeleteMy older sister is a lefty... she's clever and VERY creative and talented.
ReplyDeleteAlthough my husband is right handed, he does some things left-handed, like golf, cricket, etc.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are on a roll again with your running! Our injuries have kind of paralleled each other and right now I'm feeling the same about turning a corner - finally trusting my leg and looking forward to getting stuck in to half marathon training. It's a great feeling!
My husband is a lefty, we're still waiting to see what happens with the kiddo. Yay on the quad!
ReplyDeleteMy little Doodle is showing preference to be a lefty, but her twin, Buggie, isn't. Funny thing - my best friend is a lefty and my twins were born on her birthday. and then my coworker told me her fiance is born that same day and is also a lefty. Must be something about May 26 :)
ReplyDeleteAnother lefty here! My mother and her mother were also both left handed. I have twin nieces and one is left handed, so four generations of lefties in my clan.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're on the comeback trail.
Fun lefty facts! Most people in my are not lefties.:-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the awesome 10 miler too!!!! Hope your arm pits feel better soon.
My Mom and one sister are lefties, but I'm a right hander all the way!

ReplyDeleteLove all of the fun facts! My mom is left handed, too! :0)
ReplyDeleteI am left handed and so are both my kids
ReplyDelete3 out of 4 in my little family!
That is great that you are now able to do 10 miles!
I am at 6 now...and that's with some walking breaks still
I am a southpaw too. My family it runs on my moms side. All of her brothers have the youngest child who is left handed. Weird!
ReplyDeleteSuper cool people are left-handed. I am not one of them, obviously! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pic of you and your daughter!!! Love it!
I did not know about this! Two of my sons are lefties, although I tried to make a righty out of the first one. He is 24 now and ambidextrous! I learned my lesson and fully embraced my 8-year old's left-handedness. One pet peeve: "left/right" school scissors. They are NOT appropriate for lefties! I have to special order my son's scissors.
