Maybe it is totally cliche to say this but... I am so over this winter. I know it is supposed to be "spring", but all we have had is snow since "spring" started. I just want a little sunshine!
Other than that we had a great run and I admit even though it was snowy it was beautiful.
All this snow added up today to give us the snowiest winter on record here. Maybe now that we set the record the sun can come out? I know it isn't even April yet so the chances of more snow are pretty much 100%, but throw in a little sunshine please!
I love how by the end of winter I don't care what the conditions are I am going to get out and run if I can, so tired of being in the house! The kids didn't have school yesterday so we went up to my Grandma's and she watched the kids while I ran. One of my aunties was there too so that was an added bonus. My Grandma doesn't see the kids as much while they are in school so it was a real treat for everyone.
My husband does strength HIIT type workouts with me in the winter which is fun and pushes me more, sometimes the kids join in and make it a family thing. That was the case yesterday, except for my daughter who amazingly slept through the whole thing on the living room floor next to us while we did burpees and more. I guess she was tired!
How is "spring" where you live? ~
It looks like such a peaceful place to run. That's a good paced run! Running in the snow doesn't seem to be slowing you down!
ReplyDeleteI am so over it too! We've had the snowiest and coldest winter on record this year and it also snowed again last night here. The kids are on spring break and we might end up going sledding today. It's ridiculous. Enough is enough.
ReplyDeleteSpring is amazing. We're expected to get more snow today too, and temps are below freezing. Such a magical time!
ReplyDeleteSpring is definitely getting here, but not quite yet. I was fine with the snow until last week and then a switch flipped, and now I'm dying for warmer weather :)
ReplyDeletePoor Cola! Bungee tried to eat a dead possum on our run yesterday, but luckily I noticed in time to pull her away from it. GROSS.

ReplyDeletewe are so back and forth here. 60s and 70s late last week and into the weekend and today is flurries (we actually don't accumulate here which can be annoying) I know the past 2 years March for us is always in the 70s, so we're late as well. I hope this means milder temps in the summer

ReplyDeleteOur Spring is so bipolar. One day is 68 and the next is 25, and it goes back and forth. I am seriously over this cold weather. But then I keep telling myself "you better get used to it because once you move to Minnesota, you'll have to get used to it" :-) All I'm saying is David better get me a nice treadmill as a wedding present! lol

Spring? I heard it was cancelled this year. At least it seems like it. I'm tired of being cold. I'm tired of layering up to run outside. I'm not going out there until it warms up. :)

I wish I had the ability to sleep through burpees! Even better if I could sleep through them while I was doing them and just wake up buff. :) Spring is coming here, but it's being kind of bipolar about it. Nice and sunny...aaaand SNOW!
