Final weekly wrap of the year. A week of snowy runs

I am linking up today with my friends, Holly @ hohoruns and Tricia@ MissSippiPiddlin for the last link up of 2015! Join in and support other active women. Share your week!

Monday:  Kids were out of school for Christmas break so I took my son up to my Grandma's house and ran from there.  The roads were very snowy, but thankfully my brother had just blazed a trail through the snow with a truck taking salt up to the cows so I had a path to run on.  8.28 miles.
Clearly one of these cows was not like the other and doesn't belong.  My brother assured me that his name is Henry and he is fairly harmless.  Those horns just looks so crazy!
Tuesday: Work day. 24 minute HIIT in the morning before work.  Body weight and with weights.

Wednesday: 7.25 miles fairly flat run.  Cola hates selfies

Thursday: Work day (half day) Rest day

Friday:  Christmas Day! 12 minute HIIT

Saturday:  8 miles, hilly run  24 minute HIIT  Sunshine and no wind made the 14 degree weather feel awesome!  I love winter running!

Sunday 7 mile run.   Once again lovely winter running weather.
A random lovely shot of my sisters horses as I was running by

and a wandering cow trail I was running on since no one has bothered to drive through here lately.

All in all a great Christmas week and the kids have had so much fun sledding and playing in the snow.

  1. I thought it was chilly here in Texas (the 30's) until I thought about running there! I know the sunshine helps a lot, though. Have fun in the snow!

  2. I love your Christmas running sweater! Nice and warm and festive too! Last week I was at my parents in the mountains and it was 14 degrees but it was windy and humid and it was pretty chilly! However I got in a nice 6 mile run and felt invigorated afterward! Do you run with yak trax or just with sneakers?

  3. Well you are the first blog I've seen where it looked like Christmas there, lol! We tried to play in the snow this weekend....ok ok man-made snow attraction, see we have attractions (and pay a lot too) for that stuff yall get all the time!!! I do love the pictures of the horses, we have horses too 6 right now. My family barrel races. Do you not slip on the snow when you run? Love the ink n burn shirt too! Thanks so much for linking up with us and I hope to see you in 2016!!!

  4. The snow is so beautiful but it's hard to grasp your weather when we suffered in the heat and humidity all week. I'm good with cold temperatures as long as there is no wind. That cow does stick out as being different. The horse picture is my favorite. It makes me want to go for a snowy ride. Thanks for linking up with us Christy and Happy New Year!

  6. Your pictures are beautiful! I don't think I would be motivated to run in that cold weather, but I guess it's all in what you're used to. Hope you have a Happy New Year!

  7. BEAUTIFUL as always! Isn't it funny that dogs don't like the camera pointed at them! Happy New Year to you.
