INKnBURN Running Skirt Review

I am so happy to say that I have been kept on as an INKnBURN ambassador for another term!! I have to say I love their stuff more than ever.   I haven't done a whole lot of sharing the awesomeness of INKnBURN on my blog other than posting lots of pictures of me in it. To make up for that I am going to show you the things I love about the skirt.  The latest update is AMAZING.

I got the Lucky Charm skirt that was available via pre order only and also have the Ryu skirt that was just released.  I have no experience with the older skirts other than the Chameleon one that was released last fall which was also an update from the classic design, but this latest update from Chameleon was mostly in the fabric of the skirt as far as I can tell and made the back of the skirt a little shorter.

Chameleon's fabric was great, but a bit stiff and noisy in my opinion, the back of the skirt was a bit long, and it seemed to pull a little in the waist.. all those things have been fixed.

Favorite things about the skirt

• pockets on the shorts underneath that can hold an iPhone 6 with a case on it
• the fabric is feather light, has 4 way stretch, and is super soft
• super comfy
• slits in the skirt prevent any pulling and give added flexibility for running, working out and yoga
• length is perfect in my opinion

Other awesome details

• the design on the shorts underneath add fun details
• design on inside of waistband 
• drawstring in the waist
• made in the USA

and of course whenever you wear INKnBURN you stand out with their vibrant colors and beautiful designs!

There is no grippy elastic on the shorts, which for me is the only drawback, although I know some people hate the grippy elastic. I have found that if I use a little Body Glide on my legs under the shorts there is no riding up, the shorts stay in place and no chaffing! I wear these skirts almost exclusively for long runs now!  The shorts are compression style and flat seamed to prevent chaffing and have a gusseted crotch.

I wear a size 6 in their shorts and a 6 in the skirt is perfect on me as well.

Of course like all INKnBURN everything is made in limited numbers and when it's gone, it's gone! I was not compensated for this review, I am an ambassador, but  Like all reviews my opinions are my own!

Running!

Well, I've been a bit absent lately.  In part because I injured my back and sitting was painful and in part because I didn't want to come here and whine about how I wasn't running.  I went for 2 weeks and didn't run a step. I am signed up for a half marathon in 6 days and am going to DNS it. That does not make me a happy girl, but it wouldn't be worth trying to run it either at this point.

I am getting better and did finally run 4 miles yesterday, and go for a ride on my horse. The latter may not have been the smartest move since it is spring and the horses are feeling peppy.

One of our cows had a set of twins on Friday. She cleaned them both off and nursed them both and seemed to be taking good care of both of them.  It seems the novelty of twins wore off in the night as when Saturday morning rolled around she only had one baby and the other was no where to be found. After some careful searching we found her sleeping in a coulee.  She is for now a bottle baby until we can hopefully graft her to another cow.

Since her twin was a bull calf she is most likely a free martin.  What is a free martin you ask? Wiki helps me out here:

A freemartin or free-martin (sometimes martin heifer) is an infertile female mammal with masculinized behavior and non-functioning ovaries.^[1] Genetically the animal is chimeric: Karyotyping of a sample of cells shows XX/XY chromosomes. The animal originates as a female (XX), but acquires the male (XY) component in utero by exchange of some cellular material from a male twin, via vascular connections between placentas: an example of microchimerism.^[2] Externally, the animal appears female, but various aspects of female reproductive development are altered due to acquisition of anti-Müllerian hormone from the male twin.^[3] Freemartinism is the normal outcome of mixed-sex twins in all cattle species that have been studied, and it also occurs occasionally in other mammals including sheep, goats and pigs.

and today I ran 5.5 miles!  Woot!  My back seemed a little stiff to start with, but by the end felt great! In fact, I finished the last mile at a 7:40 pace.

So I don't really have a plan from here except to take it easy for a bit until all the stiffness is gone.
Other than some yoga and a few bodyweight workouts, I really haven't done much the last two weeks, really hoping I am back in it!
